We believe that through the values of the program, student-athletes will develop the life skills to be successful.

FAMILY, SCHOOL, VOLLEYBALL.   This is the premise that drives the success of our program.   We strive to pursue excellence in the community, on the court and in the classroom. We encourage our athletes to participate in higher level course work such as AP classes, GT classes and honors courses.   Within our program, we run a Big Sister/Little Sister mentorship in which the varsity players work with their JV and Freshmen team counterparts.  We provide a study hall every day after school (in season and out of season) and provide opportunities for our athletes to meet with teachers and NHS tutors to stay on top of their studies.  Outside of the season, we meet with the players bi-weekly to check on grades and provide assistance as needed.  This also provides another opportunity for our girls to stay connected to each other to continue to build our family environment.

In the volleyball program, athletes learn what it means to have Gator Pride and how important it is to compete with passion.  They are taught mental toughness and how to cope with adversity during matches, and practices, as well as in the classroom and off the court.  When an athlete leaves the volleyball program, they should have developed a sense of personal responsibility and an understanding of the hard work that is necessary for one to be successful in life.

Our role as coaches is to guide student-athletes through the development of these values by developing relationships with our student athletes that allow for trust and respect. We must be patient, supportive, and listen but also be clear and honest with our expectations and decisions. We also expect to perform well in matches and push the student athlete out of their comfort zones to achieve success.  We know the hard work that is necessary to have a successful program and we are dedicated to pushing our athletes to those limits.

Players must complete athletic clearance and grading requirements before participating. Be sure to check the Athlete Registration page for more information.
