Annual #PinkOut event was successful as Reservoir Volleyball faced off against Riverhill

#PinkOut, an annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser, took place on Thursday, October 25, 2022, with cheering crowds dressed in pink to support our student-athletes and a great cause.

This year's Pink Out was highly competitive as Reservoir's freshmen, JV, and Varsity teams faced off against the Riverhill Hawks.

The Freshman team truly made it a nail bitter, and these girls put in that work that ended in a tie. These girls have a real love for the game, and you can see how far they've come both as a team and as student-athletes.

The JV Team set their pace early and was ready for some action. You can tell these girls wanted to go out on a high note due to this game being their second to last game of the season, and gave the Riverhill Hawks a run for their money that ended with a 2-0 win for our gator athletes.

The Varsity team was locked in a head-to-head battle for the regional playoff seed, came through with not only a WIN but with the #1 seed in the region, which gives us a first-round bye in the playoffs and home matches for the region playoffs!! Let's go!

Not only did we win on the court, but off the court as well. The parent volunteers, Nailah Brock (JV Zuri Brock), Tiffany Ogun (JV Tiana Copp), Debra Warhol (FR Vee Warhol), and Kelly Vasile (FR Ava Vasile), not only beat our last season donation drive for the 3 Sisters Foundation but also spent a lot of time to prepare such a great event for us all. We couldn't be more grateful to this great group of ladies!

Gamegoers were amped when the MapleLawn Allstars came out and wowed the crowd with their talent and cuteness! I mean, how could you not be with these little ladies?!?! We hear that we have a group of future volleyball players too!

At the end of the evening, we had a fun time giving away many other sought-after items and baskets, which everyone loved. Ultimately, there is a lot of dedication to Pink Out with students and their families, and it is a really nice tradition for a great cause. And winning first seed for regionals was the cherry on top!

Be sure to join us for the last game of the regular season vs Oakland Mills. This game will be a special one since we'll also be celebrating our Seniors, so we ask EVERYONE COME PREPARED TO CHEER US ON and give our seniors a night to remember. We'll also be celebrating in the cafeteria post-game for any parents that would like to attend. #BLACKOUT #ReservoirHSVolleyball
